Serving WineYou might find a few accessories useful if you're planning on being very accurate about serving your wine. Plain uncut glasses allow you to see the wine easily, light glasses are considered better. Store them the right way up in a cupboard or hung upside down from a rack. Serve champagne in tall flutes which keep the sparkle in better than wide rim glasses. Good quality corkscrews can make your life easier. The classic designs such as the waiters friend, simple wooden handed models are still popular although there are more fancy pieces of equipment designed to open wine. Foil cutters make life easier and save the occaisional broken nail. Hot and cold sleeves can help your wine reach the right temperature quickly but ice buckets and wine coolers are also handy. A thermometer will tell you what temperature the wine is at. For decanting you'll need a funnel and decanter (Or carafe) Opening sparkling wines ios best done slowly and carefully to minimise spillage. Twist the bottle whilst holding the cork. Have a glass handy to catch any that does froth over. Wine wine should be served cool so that it is refreshing.. Red wine
