The key flavours in a shiraz is a very fruity one - with blackberry, redcurrant deep flavours that might be mingled with a smokey peppery flavour too.

Shiraz is my favourite wine at the moment. I can really relax sipping a glass of deep fruity wine flavours!

In fact just thinking about a glass of it makes me want to go and open a bottle right now!

Shiraz has fruity flavours and there's a theory that says if it has more red fruit flavors then it's probably from France and if it has more black fruit flavours then it's from the New World. A more subtle fruit flavour France and the more intense the more likely it is to be from one of the new world producers.

There's some excellent shiraz's out there and to help you decide which ones to try first tesco allow you to search by county and by price. I'd recommend trying an australian one first and then compare it to a french one.
